15 Fun Ways To Sweat This Summer:
Summertime and the livings easy.
Well, easy and hot.
When the sun is shining and the temperatures are raising it can be even harder to lace up your sneakers and make your way to the gym. The good news is, there are other places to sweat! Today, I’m sharing different ways to sneak in a sweat session outside of the gym so you can enjoy the weather and still get your fitness on.
15 Fun Ways To Sweat This Summer:
1. Turn the local park into your workout space. There are plenty of ways to workout on your own. If you’re not comfortable creating your own workout routine I would suggest using an app or a guide. Three of my favorites are: Nike Training, BBG, or Sweat.
2. You know all those games you used to play as a kid? Use them as nostalgic ways to sneak in activity. Throwing the Frisbee, riding a bike, rollerblading, starting a water balloon fight or participating in a kickball game are all ways to burn calories while soaking in summer.
3. Explore nature! Head out for a hike or a nature walk. Soak in mother nature while breaking a sweat.
4. Live near a beach? Get a group of friends together - beach volleyball is calling your name!
5. A beach run is good for the mind, body and soul. Throw in your headphones and run along the shore.
6. Surfing is a hardcore workout, give it a try.
7. Paddle boarding is actually a great way to work your core and arms. On top of the fitness perks, it’s a total blast to do!
8. Pool days are the best days. Even though I try to convince myself that tanning takes a lot of effort there are legitimate ways to turn a pool into a workout area. Swimming laps is a full body workout. If that isn’t your thing, then give water aerobics a go.
9. If you’re on vacation, taking a bike ride is one of the best way to explore the area you’re in. Not only to get to see the sights but you’ll also be able to check off your workout for the day.
10. Grab your yoga mat and get outside. There is something really cool about practicing outside. Namaste!
11. Amusement parks are a popular summertime activity. If you and the family have a trip planned, you’re in luck because there isn’t much time to sit around. You’ll be cover a lot of ground by walking from one attraction to the next.
12. Feel the sun on your shoulders (that you applied sunscreen to, of course) and get out on the tennis court. Playing a game of tennis is the ultimate fun way to workout during the summer months.
13. Jump rope. Yes, I’m serious. Jump roping burns calories like crazy and you can do it, almost, anywhere.
14. Take your dog for a long walk. By the end of it, both of you will be tired. It’s a win-win!
15. Dance the night away! Have fun with your friends and dance like no one’s watching. Those will be priceless moments and a fun way to get your body moving.
Werk it girl,
