Time.
It’s what makes Monday morning come way too quickly and what makes the workday all too slow. It’s what dictates when we go where and who we go with. It’s there when you go to sleep and it’s there waiting for you before you open both eyes in the morning. It can be your very best friend, yet your own worst enemy. It’s what allows you to kiss that special someone one more time or for the very last time. Time.
It is such a fascinating concept to me. Think about it. Seriously, take a step back and think about it. How many times have you sat there and thought to yourself, “why is this happening now? Worst timing, EVER.” Or “What perfect timing.”
Since time applies to all areas of our lives, I thought for the sake of this blog we could narrow in on relationships. Relationships fail or blossom for a multitude of reasons but as my mother always tells me, timing is everything. Timing has a lot to do with it, sometimes you aren’t ready for each other yet. I have found myself in dating situations where I can’t help but think that if we had met three years down the road that it could hands down work then. I have also found myself in situations where I realize that sometimes the second time around just makes more sense.
People need time. Time to change. Time to love. Time to learn. Time to experience heartbreak. Time to make mistakes. Time to heal. Time to grow. Time to explore. Time to find what makes their soul shines. Time to find what makes their heart smile. So instead of fighting it, embrace it. Trust the timing of your life because even though it may not seem like it – you are exactly where you need to be.
