5 Effortless Tips For Planning A Summer Party
Summertime is right around the corner – can I get an AMEN? The sun will be shining and everyone will be more than ready for a good time. You’ve decided to throw a party but before you jump the gun here are 5 effortless trips for planning an unforgettable summer party.
CREATE A THEME
I’m a sucker for a good theme. Throwing a white party, crawfish boil, a colorful luau, or an under the sea pool party “just because”
For décor ideas, I rely heavily on Pinterest for all the inspiration. If you’re the DIY kind of girl, let your creativity shine! If you’re more of the, let’s just order the centerpiece and have it delivered straight to our front door kind of girl – I’m right there with you! Regardless of your décor skills – don’t feel the need to go over the top. A little something here and a little something there will go a long way. Don’t drive yourself crazy trying to be the next Mindy Weiss! As long as you have the essentials down your party will be one to remember!
Spread The Word
If you want to go the true adulthood route, get invitations printed, put a stamp on those suckers and put them in the mailbox. How fancy you want the invitations to be is totally your call! If you’d rather send out a group text, then all the more power to you! Whatever road you choose, make sure that ALL logistics are clearly stated.
Entertainment
Your guest will love the fact that you have something for them to get social with and partake in an activity together. Whether it’s playing a game of corn hole or playing a, responsible, drinking game – your guest will have a great time! If you have a pool, fun novelty pool floats are all the craze and should definitely be a hit at your summer party! Whether you want to soak up the sun while floating on a pineapple, French fries, or watermelon, the choice is yours with Intex. I went the popsicle route which you can see here on my IG. So cute, right?
MUSIC TO THE EARS
It’s time to master the music! Make your playlists with the vibe of the party in mine. Are you going for more of a chill background music kind of day or are you wanting to take it back to your college days and crank the speakers until you can’t hear the person next to you speaking? If you do in fact go with a theme, I would ensure that the music flows in nicely with that. If music isn’t your forte, we all have that one friend that loves nothing more than creating playlist so give them the crucial task of doing so!
EAT, DRINK & HAVE FUN
Keeping the drinks cold, the food hot and the fun flowing are all keys to success. You will know your guests the best so decipher if you’re going the beer, liquor or wine route is the host call. My biggest tip is to make sure that you have enough, of everything. Running out of drinks and or food is never a good situation to be in. Over compensation and the worst that happens is you have leftovers and who doesn’t love leftovers?!
