How To Throw A Fun AF Bachelorette Party
LAST FLING BEFORE THE RING!
I’m going to tell you something but only if you promise to not tell anyone … I was completely nervous about planning my best friends bachelorette party. I wanted everyone, especially Jess, to have THE best time. She only gets to have one bachelorette party so I’m like … ok chels, this is all on your shoulders. You’re the maid of honor. This is your job. It’s fine. NO PRESSURE. IT’S FINE.
Turns out, we had an incredible time and all was right in the world! Basiccallllyyyy you can call me the queen MOH. I'll go work on my acceptance speech ;)
If you’ve been given the coveted position of planning your girlfriends bachelorette party, here are a few pointers from me to you:
HOW TO KILL IT AS A MOH & THROW THE BEST BACHELORTETTE PARTY:
start from square one
Making sure that you and the bride are on the same page from the beginning is key. Remember that is HER party not yours. In short – her opinion, needs and wants are all that matters. Some bachelorettes like to know exactly what will be going on during her weekend away while others will voluntarily hand over the reins. Throughout the planning process, think of the bride to be. What is her vibe? What are some of her favorite things? What are things you know she absolutely would not like to do? Is wearing a sash around all weekend up her ally or not at all? For instance, don’t fill a day full of back to back activities if you know all she wants to do is sit by the pool and laugh over cocktails. Get my drift?
round the troops
As MOH you will basically double as a camp counselor during the bachelorette party. The other girls will look at you for answers and for what’s next. With that being said, organization will make your life 100% times easier. Before the weekend beings, make sure all reservations and preparations are handled. You want to be able to the enjoy the weekend also so get as much taken care of beforehand!
As the MOH – know that it is ok to ask the bridal party for help! More times than none, they would love to lend a helping hand and don’t expect to just show up. If you need help with something, just ask! It’s all a bridal partyteam effort!
A little help from my friends
Knowing that there will be a lot of glasses raised for the bride to be you’ll want to prepare for the morning after. Besides each other, liquid IV will be your best friend that weekend. A thoughtful idea for the MOH to do is to have goodie bags and or community basket full of essentials for the weekend. A few recommendations to include would be: Advil, hair ties, vitamin C and I also included a Coola product as well as Liquid I.V. packets!
Last but certainly not least, one of my favorite things about bachelorette party is the décor! It’s an added touch that truly sets the vibe. For all bachelorette party needs I rely on Stag & Hen.
