Brody Approved High Chair
So just a few months ago (...okay more like 8+ months ago), I was getting all the baby products together in time for Brody’s arrival. From strollers to crib sheets to clothes, it was a lot. I got so many recommendations and did a ton of research but it, of course, all came down to what Robby and I thought was important for our baby boy.
One of the baby products on our list that I researched the heck out of was a high chair for when Brody started solids. I wanted something that was safe, easy to clean and looked good in our home (we worked so hard to decorate it that I didn’t want to just throw away all our hard work). It looks so much chicer than other high chairs. — We got The Chair in coconut and it looks so modern and chic! It fits right in with our decor and we actually get so many compliments on it when people see it. I knew there would be a lot of firsts with our first baby, but wow, I never thought we’d get so many compliments from others on how sleek a dang high chair looks!
It’s comfortable for Brody. — When Brody first started solids, I was nervous he would be a little squirmy and restless in his high chair, but when we strapped him in with the harness on, the little man surprisingly settled right in! The cotton cushion that comes with it is super soft and the adjustable straps always come in handy to make sure he’s snug. Also, the footrest is adjustable so as he gets bigger, we can just flip it to give him some added support!
It lasts for a while since it turns into a play chair. — First of all, I’m practically obsessed with reading up on what all of Brody’s toys, clothes, etc. are made from to make sure they’re totally safe and super high quality. So it made me feel so much better reading that Lalo’s Chair is crafted with BPA free and food safe plastic and FSC certified sustainable beech wood! Anyway, what I absolutely love about The Chair is how the high chair turns into a play chair... it’ll last from when Brody starts solids all the way to when he’s able to play at a table in his little play chair. Cue the tears!
It’s super easy to clean. — I’ve, of course, read literally all the articles, books, you name it on starting solids and every single one warns about the mess that comes with it, so I wanted a high chair that was extremely easy to clean because who has time for that?! I wanted the focus to be more on mealtime with Brody than dreading the clean up afterwards! The tray on the chair is so easy to wipe up. It’s so easy that I usually leave the tray on and just wipe up any spills or food with a dish towel or sponge, but I read that you can take it off and put it in the top rack of your dishwasher for those extra messy meals. And for when the cushion gets food on it (and trust me, it will), I just throw it in the washing machine and voila, it’s brand new!
